Vienna was even more amazing than Prague. I wish we would have had more time to spend there but we only had one night! When we got there it was past time to go to any musuems but we did have time to get tickets to an opera.. or so we thought. We had a couple people go stand in line to wait to see if we could get in while the rest of us went on a shopping mission to find some specific souviners for family members. We were going to meet up at a restaurant a little later and have some traditional Austrian food. When we got there the other team was not there yet which we found odd. We soon realized that the line for the theater was wrapped around the building and we wouldn't get in for the night. So we decided to cut our losses and have a really good meal instead.
We went to a great little resaurant called Centimeter. The food there was delicious and there was a ton of it! We got a tip to only order three meals if we ate there for the five of us. I am glad we got that tip! We got a shovel full of macaroni with bacon and veggies mixed in, sausages stuffed with cheese and wrapped in bacon served with fries and pork chops served with potatoes. It was a massive amount of food but it was amazing! After that we were all stuffed silly but I did convince people that we needed desert so we got some chocolate cake that was litterally pilled high with whipped cream. I was sure one of us was going to die from a heart attackt that night! When we were done eating we decided it was time to walk around and keep out hearts from clogging with all the grease! We found some very cute little streets and even found a wonderful little playground to play on. Before long we were frozen and decided to head back to the hostile.
The next morning we got up early and went to St Stephens Cathedral. The inside of the cathedral was pretty much like every other cathedral but there was also a tower you could climb which had 343 stairs that gave a wonderful view of the city. We hiked it up to the top and snapped lots of pictures.
When we were done there we had to go check out of our hostile and put our bags in checked baggage for the day. Then we headed to the Albertina museum to see some great artwork. We headed straight for the Picasso and Monet exhibit and got to see all of that before heading up to the Richter exhibit. That was definately my favorite. His pieces look like paintings but weren't. If you ever have a chance to see them you definately should! From there we were off to the train station to head to Bled!
