Paris was the city of lights! The first night I had a lonely night in Paris though because Mom and Mel took the wrong train and ended up in Northern France. I got to get an amazing night of sleep while they were sleeping in a town an hour North by high speed train. In the morning we met up when they got to the hotel around 9:30. After chatting and giving them some fruit that I had picked up for them for breakfast we headed to a free walking tour. The tour started at 11 and ended up lasting about 4 hours. We got to see Notre Dame, the Louve, the Eifel tower from afar and the Arc de Triomphe among other things. When the tour was over we were pretty much walked out but we kept on going! We got a closer look of the Arc de Triomphe before stopping for a couple coffees and a potty break. The next stop was the Eifel tower so we knew we would need a break before climbing to the top! We had to stand in line at the Eifel tower for about 30 minutes before going up. We met a couple people from MN in line which was really fun! Good times to have chats. We finally got to start our ascent to the top. It was 320 to the first level and 668 to the second level. From there you could take an elevator the rest of the way up. The views were awesome! It was nice that we had already gone on our walking tour because then we were able to point out things we had seen. We stayed up there for a while and then came down and did a little bit of touristy shopping before it got lit up for the night. On the hour every hour after it is lit up it sparkles so we stayed for that and then headed back towards our hotel. We did make a detour through the Moulin Rouge area to snap a few photos before heading back though.
The next morning we woke up early and climbed to the top of the Sacre Cour before to get our morning workout. It is the second best view of the city! It was funt o be albe to see the Eifel tower from afar. After that we grabbed our bags and headed to the Louve for the day. We checked our bags and joined the mob to see the Mona Lisa. We saw that and a couple other famous art pieces and were then sick of fighting the crowds, which was perfect because it was time to catch our train anyway. After grabbing our bags we headed to the train station to head to Marseilles!
