Last night we headed over to the Imperial College to their campus pub there. There was a big group of Americans from Wisconsin that came in so it was interesting. I think most of the locals cleared out pretty quick because the Americans were so loud! We did meet a couple guys the night before at the pub crawl and they came too. Two of them were from Australia and one from America.
This morning we were going to go to a service at St. Paul’s Cathedral (the one Princess Diana was married in). We went all the way there before we found out they didn’t have a service this morning. So we looked in the church and then we decided to head to Harrods. It is a large department store. We got there a bit before it opened so we went to get some coffee and then went to the store. Everything there was top of the line and very high end. The store took up the whole block and had 5 floors! None of the American kids in our group bought anything except Zeb, of course. He bought an Armani coat for ₤300, and that was half price. He is pretty much ridiculous.
After that Rachel and I headed to Brixton to check out the African neighborhood. We were supposed to go eat there so we walked around trying to find an authentic African joint. We walked for 2 hours and didn’t find anything. We finally asked someone and she sent us to a Caribbean place. We were so hungry by that point that we ate it anyway. It was interesting, but nothing too far from normal. While we were there we picked up some cheap groceries because it was so much cheaper when we got out of Kensington.
The rest of the day was spent recovering from the week and watching British television. There are some pretty interesting movies on British TV! haha
