This morning we got to tour Parliament. It was really interesting and we had a great tour guide. We learned all about the House of Commons and the House of Lords. The building itself was beautiful! There were many portraits and paintings of battles, Kings, Queens and lords. There were also statues and an insane amount of wood carving and gold leafing. All the ceilings were painted and carved and adorned with gold. It was insane! I was kind of bummed that we couldn’t take pictures though! I wish you could all see how amazing it was!

After the trip to Parliament we walked across the street to Westminster Abby. However, when we realized it was ₤9 we decided that we would come back for a service on Sunday. That way we can see it for free. We took some pictures of the outside and then continued on.

We walked by where the Prime minister lives and there were more Gaza protests there similar to the ones outside the Embassy. Needless to say we kept walking.

Rachel and I went on our second adventure to find African food for lunch today. However, we again failed because the restaurant we went to was closed for lunch. We ended up getting some greasy American food. We did hit up some cheaper grocery stores in the area to get some cheap vegetables and then we headed back.

Today was the first day I have gotten to use my rain boots since we got here. It hadn’t rained yet which really surprised me. Today we did get the wind and rain so it was an interesting afternoon out and about.

Tonight we are going to make some food for supper and then head across the street or to the Imperial College to the pub to try to meet some more people.

Hi Wendy,

So what happens if you can't find the food you need to be eating? The weather is nasty here today!! Had another 4 inches of snow and now the weather guy said we are supposed to get almost blizzard conditions because of high winds!! Whooppeee!!! Sounds like your travels are awesome!!! You should compare the milk bottles to your phone or something like that - comparison - learned that in Math/Science for little kids today in school. Went to one class and other class was canceled due to the impending weather. No classes tomorrow but Wednesday classes again:) Now time to get some homework done. Keep up the great documenting of your travels!!! Still love the picture of the red phone booth for sure my favorite:)
