Florence is the city of shopping! The entire first day we spent wandering shops which Karl was not very pleased with. He ended up spending some time in the hostel reading because he didnt want to shop. We knew there was a spanish place to eat supper and since it is hard to come by in Europe we took the chance. It was a nice change to have a little bit of spicy food for once. The next day we went to see Duomo (a cathedral) and climbed the tower by Duomo. The view from the tower was amazing! You could see all of Florence and beyond into the vineyards in the hills. We were slightly worn out by the 414 stetps but it was so worth it! After that we went and stocked up on some food from the supermarket and had a bit of lunch. Then we wandered a bit out of the city to see some grass. We came upon some pretty amazing estates up the hills of Florence and all the girls were hoping to get picked up by a boy on a motorcycle! We wandered up there for a few hours before heading back into the city. We decided to save some money and have our own little party for supper before hitting the sack for the night. This morning we woke up fairly early to go see David before heading to the train. We barely had time to see him so it was an in and out thing before running back to the hostel to get our bags and then jumping on a train to Rome! More from Rome over the next couple days! Hopefully I can get some pictures up over the next few days too!
