Feeling Southern

I loves me some sweet tea! It was something I very quickly grew to love in Tennessee. The problem with making iced tea is that first it has to be hot. Why would I want to heat up my house when its already 95 degrees outside (and it's only May!). So Southern Sweet Sun Tea is on the menu. I have this cute little jar with a spigot that I fill to the brim with goodies. One cup of sugar, one sliced orange, 8 tea bags and then water to fill, to be exact. This concoction went out to the deck around 9am on Sunday.

It sat in the blazing hot sun until about 2pm when I pulled it in and scoped out the orange and tea bags. Some of the sugar was still stuck to the bottom, so I gave it a stir as well. After the stirring it looked something like this... YUM! I couldn't wait to drink it, so I poured a glass over some ice and AHH. The rest is in the fridge waiting for me to pour the next big glass.
