A New home

Well we finally found one! We closed on this beauty the Thursday before Easter. I has been a whirlwind moving in, painting, and cleaning.

Lets take a quick tour! First let's check out the entryway.



Just off the entryway is a 3/4 bath. This will be the first place we swing a sledgehammer by removing the shower because who wants to shower in the entryway anyway!?! Here is the first of our fancy stenciling!







Here is the heart of the home, the kitchen. We have lots of plans for this room (both big and little) so we will share progress as we go :)

Just off the kitchen is the laundry room/mudroom and more fancy stenciling!

Next up is the bowling alley, aka the living room and dining room. This room is huge and furniture placement will be interesting, but we love the large space!

Just off the living room is a sun room. The fun part about the sunroom is the painted tiles on the floor, and the paint color, oh and the etched rose on each window. Ok there are lots of fun things!

The last stop on the main floor is what will be John's office. It has a ton of natural light and will hopefully be very cheery for him to get some work done. Note the fantastic stenciling :)

Now to head up the stairs!



To the right there are two rooms. First we will head to the craft room, where there is currently a baseball theme.

 Right next to the craft room is the guest bathroom. It has a definite 80s vibe!

The last room to the right is the guest bedroom. It is a blank slate at this point! Some fun things can happen here :)

Hooray for leaving an american flag? And now for the best paint job, I mean the master. Yikes!

 

 

The master and master bath can use a LOT of work. We are thinking we will create a giant bathroom and walk-in closet. Short term we will just get rid of this paint and MORE stenciling!!

I realized I don't have any pictures of the basement or garage, but figured that was all the stenciling one could handle in one post! The basement is completely unfinished and the garage is your standard two stall. I will be working on some update posts over the next couple days.
