Baby shower and May flowers

This weekend I was lucky enough to have Anna (and Linda) host a babies shower for me. We drove up from Iowa on Friday after work (and after our doctors appointment) and had the shower on Saturday. It was so great to have a big group of family and friends there! Anna had some great games planned and the brunch was delicious. We definitely won't be able to fit everything in the Jeep to head back to Iowa. Luckily Stan and Linda are coming down in June and can bring the rest with them. Here are a few pictures from the day :)

Here is the present pile. Brinley was very excited she got to help me open!

The wonderful hostesses!

A few gift pictures and some of my helpers :)

John was able to stay distracted during the shower because his friend Evan came and picked him up. They went to a gun store and to a brewery while we were showering. They came back and played volleyball for a bit, so they were able to sneak in on the food and a quick picture.

We also took the opportunity to take a baby bump picture with myself and Anna, since she is due just 2 weeks before me!

A quick note on the baby appointment on Friday. It went well and I didn't pass out during my ultrasound. The babies heartbeats are good (that's all they did during this ultrasound) and I'm measuring at 25 weeks during week 22. The twins have shifted positions since the last ultrasound. The boy is now vertex (head down) and the girl is breech. At this point the boy would be the first to come out, so hopefully he stays that way! I talked with the doctor about what I do for work and his recommendation is that I only work 8 hours a day. I will likely call my boss sometime this week and chat with him about that so we can start to figure out how to make that work. This should be an interesting pregnancy! Time to stop writing and take some time for relaxing in Duluth :) Happy almost 23 weeks!
