A big day for the little man

Today was Fin's turn to have a big day. They took him off c-pap at 11 and pulled out his feeding tube. They started to try to pull the adhesive off his face, but the little guy was not having it! They didn't want to make him too mad right as they took away his oxygen, so they left the adhesive strips on for bit before trying again. Eventually, they did get everything off and I was able to get a few pictures with nothing on his little face :)

So far, he has been a champ without the oxygen! We have been very impressed with how he has handled it, since I think we were most nervous about him coming off. He tends to need to use it during kangaroo time, so we will keep a close eye on how he does with that. Here is the little man without any tape on his face :)

Today they kept both kiddos at the same feeding levels. They are caught up with where they should be for their size! Maggie continues to have a little spit up after hers, but Fin is taking them like a champ. Hopefully, that continues with his feeding tube being through his nose now. Maggie has taken to her pacifier after she got her tube through her nose. We are thinking Fin will do the same. These babies are going to be ready for some milk from a bottle!

During kangaroo care today, Maggie somehow managed to miss her diaper almost completely and pee all down the front of my shirt! Both nurses were impressed at her being able to do this without having much of a wet diaper at all. Luckily, I had a spare shirt to change into!
