Upgrades

It has been a pretty uneventful day today, which is a great thing! Both the doctor and the nurse today talked about how great the kiddos are doing for their age. The nurse even said 'you better be ready to take these kids home'. Obviously not any time soon, but it was great to hear that! I'm glad we aren't the only ones that think are kids are the best! :)

Both kiddos stayed at the same feeding volumes for the day. They also haven't really been gaining, only maintaining their weight. I asked the doctor about this today and she said if we continue to not see weight gain, they will increase the calories in the milk by adding more fortifier instead of increasing volume.

Both kiddos graduated to the next size of pacifier today! Below is a side by side comparison of the old and new. Fin is liking his more now that he doesn't have a tube in his mouth. His sister is still much more interested, but I think he will get there.

Maggie got to have a sponge bath today. Her breathing and oxygen levels have been pretty steady, so she got all swaddled up and we were able to get her clean while she stayed warm. I think her hair is lighter now that we got the gunk out of it. Maybe one of these two will be a blonde.

When the doctor came through today, she said she didn't hear a heart murmur with Maggie. They can come and go, so we will keep an eye on it, but hopefully hers is just related to the vessel closing and it will go away. Fin's is still there, but we are hoping the same for him.
