The babies have not been gaining as much weight as we hoped they would. Fin now weighs 2lbs 15.6 oz and Maggie weighs 2lbs 10.7 oz. They are gaining slowly, but we are ready for Fin to break the 3lb mark! The doctor decided to add protein to their milk today to help them grow a little faster. The goal would be for them to gain 20 grams per day. Since the volume is where we want it, they will try to get them there with extra calories/protein.
Fin's heart murmur seemed to be a little louder than normal today. He has also been breathing faster than he was previously. The doctor decided to order an echocardiogram to see what's going on with his little heart. They did that this afternoon, but we are still waiting on results. She said typically they come after 5, so I'm guessing it will be later this evening before we hear anything. Otherwise, it has been a quiet day!
